The Franke Little Butler is new to Frankes range for 2006/7. It is a point of use boiling hot water dispenser, essentially a tap which sits next to your sink which delivers water very near boiling point (88 degrees), making it suitable for kick starting cooking (i.e. vegetables etc) without waiting for water to heat OR teas, coffee and other hot drinks.
Sometimes referred to as white hot water dispensers these are becoming increasingly more popular in many places - especially office environments where there is a very good argument that the running costs of maintaining such a system vastly outweigh the time people stand waiting around the kettle, and indeed commercial kitchens or cooking facilities where instant hot water is obviously a massive time saver.
The kit includes a tap, stainless steel water boiler and all necessary fittings. The Little Butler system running in optimum conditions will provide approximately 60 cups boiling water per hour, which translated would be approximately 12 to 15 litres per hour.
Two models are available:
- The 1000 Series features a single tap which delivers near hot water only - this water is not filtered, and is essentially virtually boiling regular tap water.
- The 2000 Series features a Franke Triflow filter and an additional tap lever. This means the tap can deliver near boiling hot water, and regular ambient (cold) water and has the added benefit of filtering both of these lines.
Note: We have extensive experience of inline water boiliers and for both the 1000 series and 2000 series would heavily recommend ANY CUSTOMER living in a hard water area considers limescale problems. Limescale can cause massive problems to ALL (regardless of manufacturer) inline boiliers and this is never covered by the warranty should it cause damage.
For 1000 Series Customers
The scale removal upgrade does cost a little bit more on a 1000 series. The reason is the dealkerlisation resin used in our scale removal filters MUST be passed through a carbon 'post' filter to polish the water. With the 2000 series, Franke supply this filter with the tap, so basically we only need to supply 'half' the system. With a 1000 series we must supply both the scale filter and the polishing filter, hence why your upgrade does cost a little more!
