The Hydropal(tm) Sports bottles are an award winning product, designed to offer low cost portable water filtration, in a handy drinks bottle format.

Whilst this may look like a regular sports or cycle bottle, the cap has a special block carbon insert which effectively removes chlorine and dissolved organics from the water as you drink it - Ideal for keeping on your desk at work, taking to the gym or packing off with the kids to school! It is simple to use - like any other bottle you simply unscrew the cap and fill it up - the rest, well, is all in the design!

The filtration system has a lifetime of 200 refills or six months, at which point you simply replace the bottle, or just the cap - both of which we can supply!

Urban or Crypto
The regular filter supplied with the hydropal bottle is the Urban filter - this is a carbon block which will remove chlorine, dissolved organics and sediment. This is the best filter to use if your water will be sourced from chlorinated mains water supplies.

Also available is the finer Crytpo filter -an enhanced model- which will remove cysts such as crptosporidum and giarda, and when combined with suitable iodine drops or disinfection tablets (not supplied but available from most outdoor shops) will provide a safe source of drinking water from rivers and streams.

A green solution The Hydropal bottles are typically good for 200 refills or about six months of daily usage - if you buy bottled water to take to work for example, instead of throwing 200 bottles in the bin, at worst, you might throw away one.. although we can just supply replacement caps if keeping your footprint down is a consideration! So kinder to the environment AND the pocket too.. With bottled water retailing at up to a £1.50 a bottle in city centres over the 6 month lifetime you'll save up to £200!!

Please note - The enhanced version must not be used with natural water sources such as streams, unless you use a suitable disinfection agent such as iodine or chlorine within the bottle before drinking it through (note: most people find the filter removes the associated taste issues with such products).
