Chloramine is a more stable means of chlorinating domestic water supplies, and is becoming increasingly more common throughout the UK.  This cartridge is better suited to removing Chloramine as opposed to regular Chlorine, and is intended to act as a replacement for IX600 cartridges in Chlorimanted areas.

We only advise changing from an IX600 to this cartridge if you notice a change in the taste of your water supply and you have confirmed (with us or your water supplier) that you have Chloraminated water.

Other than the difference in Chlorine/Chloramine, the cartridge specification is identical to the IX600 and it will also remove heavy metals, sediment, dissolved organics, etc.

This cartridge will fit all Ametek (TM) compatible housings, and is suitable for drinking water and aquatic applications.  It will act as a direct replacement to the Chlorplus (TM) and Chloroplus (TM) cartridges offering similar performance and filtration properties.
