Chloramine is a more stable means of chlorinating domestic water supplies, and is becoming increasingly more common throughout the UK.  This cartridge is better suited to removing Chloramine as opposed to regular Chlorine, and is intended to act as a replacement for IX250/230 cartridges in Chlorimanted areas.

We only advise changing from an IX250 to this cartridge if you notice a change in the taste of your water supply and you have confirmed (with us or your water supplier) that you have Chloraminated water.

Other than the difference in Chlorine/Chloramine, the cartridge specification is identical to the IX250 and it will also remove heavy metals, sediment, dissolved organics, etc.
