The Whirlpool 4396508 cartridge is the new cartridge for all Whirlpool fridges that have cartridges fitting in the base grille (i.e. the front of the fridge at the bottom).  This cartridge also fits some Smeg refrigerators including the SA550F, which has a cartridge part-number usually beginning 4812.

These are Whirlpool/Smeg originals, and are priced extremely competatively compared to many other suppliers.  We have seen these being advertised by other suppliers for almost double the cost!!

The Whirlpool range of cartridges are designed to be replaced either at six monthly intervals or when the 'replace cartridge' light comes on (if fitted).
