Aquada UV systems are ideal for treating whole house applications for private water supplies with bacteria problems.  They also have a wide application in commerce and industry where a sterile water supply needs to be assured.

UV systems kill bacteria and viruses making the water suitable for drinking.  Pre-filtration is essential for UV systems to work reliably.  The degree of pre-filtration will depend on the feed water quality, the minimum requirement for pre-filtration is a 5 micron sediment filter.

The UV light applied to the water in a very controlled manner produces a photo-chemical reaction in the DNA (desoxyribonecleic acid) which either destroys the microorganisms or their ability to increase.

Altima Model
The Altima model is the most basic of the Aquada systems by Wedeco - whilst utilising the same stainless housings, advanced UV bulbs and offering equal performance, it does NOT feature any complex controls or alarms. In order to check this unit is running you will need to conduct a visual check through the bulb cap, meaning for critical use applications it is not reccomended.
