The Kenwood™ Universal Cartridge fits all Brita™, Boots™, Waymaster™, Curver™ and Aquastream™ Water Filters as well as Kenwood’s own range of Jug Filters.

The Kenwood™ Universal Cartridge deals efficiently with chlorine, limescale, scum on hot drinks and heavy metals.

One cartridge lasts for approximately one month and filters around 100-150 litres of water.

The Universal Filter Cartridge works in 4 stages:

• Integral top filter to trap large particles floating in the water (sand, rust, etc.)
• The latest in food grade ion exchange technology.  The resins reduce heavy metals, limescale and aluminium, etc.
• Special activated carbon (silver treated for bacteria control) absorbs chlorine and organic pollutants such as herbicides, solvents, bad taste and other odours, etc.
• Fine particle Trilobular filter.

One Cartridge can reduce:

• Aluminium up to 80%
• Cadmium up to 95%
• Chlorine up to 90%
• Copper up to 91%
• Lead up to 88%
• Pesticides up to 65%
• Temporary Hardness up to 79%
• Zinc up to 86%

These percentages may vary according to the composition and proportions of substances in the tap water and may reduce with usage.
