Kevin Garrett - 02/20/2012 If like us you have a Fisher Paykel branded filter unit, you will know the twist2fiit cartridges are madly expensive to replace. But this good solution and ALL you need is in the box!
Simply isolate main water inlet, unscrew/remove the FP unit at bracket, unplumb the inlet/outlet plastic tubes (note which is which) and reattach just the new filter inlet end to start. Flush through a few litres to prime the filter, then attach the outlet pipe and it's done but not fixed to the cupboard.
I used up a simple small bracket and cable tie to remove any strain on the tubing.
I get a higher flow rate then before (no anti-drip valve?) so it takes a second to cease flowing, soon got used to this. no leaks, glass fills faster and changing this every months is under £30 opposed to £100 for FP parts. Well worth doing :-) |
Mr MRC - 01/03/2012 Not a replica for the original Fisher and Paykel filter, but does the job just as well and is easy to install even though the fittings are slightly different. Very pleased with the filter and the money saved! |
Bernard Whyte - 11/11/2011 No problem at all fitting the replacement. Good clear instructions. |
Chris He - 07/29/2011 Received the in-line water filter quickly and it was as described. Fitting instructions were helpful, and it only took a few minutes.
Is installed in a kitchen unit next to the fridge, would be nice to have a spring clip so could clip the filter to the unit side, (the original F&P has a top mount bracket)
All in all, impressed, and will buy again when this one expires! |
Neil Serjeant - 06/23/2011 Very simple to fit, though not as neat as the original (more expensive) F&P filter. Flow is faster - a two-edged sword as a glass fills quicker, but we're getting more drips. |
