The Maxima UV system from Wedeco has the highest specifications of any of the Aquada models, featuring a UV intensity monitor and digital UV intensity display alongside all of the features that the Proxima model has. Suitable for a vast array of commercial applications, the Maxima offers effective sterilisation and peace of mind in the case of lamp failure.

The Maxima model is one of the most advanced UV systems available; not only does it have bulb failure alarms and optional relays for an external siren, this model is also capable of measuring the intensity of the UV wavelengths. This feature basically ensures that not only is the bulb running but it is running to a pre-determined standard, which may be a requirement for applications in hygienic environments, food preparation areas and industrial processes.

This model is over-specified for regular domestic installations but may be well suited for use in hotels, guesthouse accommodation and similar environments which rely on well water or borehole supply.

Pre-filtration is essential for UV systems to work reliably.  The degree of pre-filtration will depend on the feed water quality and the minimum requirement for pre-filtration is a 5 micron sediment filter.
