IX600P No10 Multi-Stage Cartridge with Anti Scale
The IX600P filter contains a combination of granulated carbon and an ion-exchange resin with an added ion-exchange media to reduce limescale. The cartridge is designed to reduce chlorine, sediment, heavy metals and dissolved organics in the water. The P suffix refers to the ion-exchange media that is added inhibits the scale and stops it from adhering to pipes and appliances.
As shown below the IX600P works on a 4 stage filtration system:
Stage 1: Synthetic membrane and spun-polypropylene filters remove suspended solids such as dirt and rust.
Stage 2: Carbon of high quality with special silver impregnation dramatically reduces chlorine and dissolved organic pollutants such as agro-chemicals, solvents, THM's, TCE's, PCB's, etc.
Stage 3: Ion Exchange system specific to heavy metals dramatically reduces lead, aluminium, copper, mercury, cadmium, iron, etc.
Stage 4: Block Carbon ultra-efficient stage further reduces chlorine, dissolved organic matter and particulates, finally polishing the water.
This filter is used in both single and twin drinking systems and is designed to be changed every 6 months depending on how often it is used and the initial quality of water.
