LG fridges not only require replacement water filters, but as with fridges made by Whirlpool, they also require a replacement air filter every 6 or 12 months (depending on model). The LG LT120F is a small air filter which fits into a compartment usually located in the upper top section of the fridge, forcing the air through activated carbon in order to remove bad smells and odours, which can be an unwanted issue in even the cleanest of fridges.

The FFL-155L offers customers a twin pack of compatible cartridges for less than the retail price of a single original item.  The technology used in these air filters isn't dissimilar from that used in the water treatment industry (activated carbon being the key material).
